Welcome to my website. My dear friend, Jean Welles (www.worshipguitarclass.com), who loves Jesus and makes DVD's to teach people guitar, encouraged me to get a website so that people who don't know me can learn more about who I am.
I love flowers, do you? Spring flowers are just the best! This week I thought I'd post a few shots of flowers from my garden. God has given us beauty to make us think of his divine nature. He is an extravagant God (Romans 1:20)! Please let me know if you like these photos!
I became a Christian while attending Community Bible Study 28 years ago. When I first met Jesus I was amazed that he offered not only forgiveness, but also an ongoing relationship along with the privilege of calling God my Father. My life has changed since I received Jesus; I have hope, peace and joy even amidst the hard stuff life brings. I know personally He is Immanuel, God with us. (Isaiah 7:14)
God called me to teach the Bible 18 years ago after I studied with a gifted teacher whom I consider my spiritual mother, Dotty Larson. Because of her great teaching I was stimulated to learn and now teach an evening Community Bible Study (CBS) class near LAX. (http://www.westchesterevecacbs.org)
My husband and I have been married for 43 years, and that relationship continues to grow and flourish. I am blessed with Phil; a scientist, singer, and sensitive guy with a great sense of humor! We've raised 3 terrific kids, one of whom is a pastor in Bend, Oregon. (www.therivermennonite.org)
We have 4 grandchildren: Owen (6) Everett (4) and Eleni (2), Jayden (11 months), and Eli due to arrive in July. Our daughter Sarah just got put on bed rest until June, so please pray that Eli will stay in the "oven". His due date is July 12. You can read more at her blog: makewayforbabystephens

I've co-authored a book that came out in January of this year, called Purr-ables from Heaven: Devotions for Cat Lovers. It shows how God uses little animals to teach valuable lessons about him, and it's fun reading. It's available from various sources, such as Amazon.com
